LG has announced four new midrange devices – the LG Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy which would all make their appearances at the MWC 2015.
The four new devices will bring the company’s popular UX design reserved for its premium devices and would all come in 3G and LTE models. The 3G models would have plastic patterned back covers while the LTE models would have metallic back covers.
The LG Magna features a 5-inch HD display, powered by a quad-core CPU (1.3GHz or 1.2GHz), 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, a microSD card slot, 8MP main camera LTE model / 5MP main camera 3G model and is backed by a 2540mAh battery. It is rather bulky at 10.2mm thickness and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
The LG Spirit follows with a 4.7-inch HD display, backed by a 2100mAh battery, measures 9.9mm in thickness, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and shares other features with the LG Magna.
The LG Leon features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, powered by a 1.2GHz or 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, a microSD card slot, 8MP main camera (LTE model)/5MP main camera (3G model), front VGA camera and is backed by a 1900mAh battery. It measures 10.9mm in thickness and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
The last of the pack is the LG Joy – it sports a 4.0-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-core or 1.2 Dual-core processor with 512MB/1GB RAM, 4GB/8GB ROM, a microSD card slot, 1900mAh battery and runs on either Android 4.4 Kitkat OS or Android Lollipop OS.
Asides sporting the UX design associated with the LG G3, the four devices will come with Glance View and Gesture shot. Gesture shot lets you take selfies with simple hand gesture while Glance view allows you access quick information such as missed calls, time, messages even when the display is off.
There is no word on pricing but the specs would vary according to different markets. The LG Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy smartphones will be displayed alongside the LG Watch Urbane.
