LG has debuted a new ‘Q series’ smartphone – the LG Q9 (seems like a rebranded LG G7 Fit) in Korea. This model is based on the now dated Android 8.1 Oreo OS and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 octa-core mobile platform paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage.
The LG Q9 is built around a 6.1-inch (3120 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ FullVision display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, a wide notch and 1000 nits peak brightness. It is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, and MIL-STD-810G certified to withstand harsh environmental factors including shock, humidity, vibration and low or high temperature.
The smartphone has LG Pay feature for making payments in the same way as credit cards; 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC to offer premium level audio and Boom Speakers to deliver powerful bass. Photography is handled by a single 16MP rear camera and 8MP selfie camera with AI features.
The rest of the key specs include – USB Type-C 3.1, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, rear fingerprint sensor, face recognition and 3,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It is priced at KRW 499,400 (~ USD 445 or EUR 389) and arrives in Carmine Red, New Aurora Black and New Morocane Blue colours.
