LG has officially announced a wireless portable keyboard for smartphones and tablets called LG Rolly. Highlighted as “the industry’s first solid rollable wireless portable keyboard,” it would be showcased next month (September) at the upcoming IFA 2015 event in Berlin, Germany.
Unlike most flexible silicone keyboards around, the LG Rolly Keyboard is made from durable polycarbonate and ABS plastic which is said to be impact-resistant and would provide enhanced tactile feedback. The keyboard can be folded along the four rows into a stick looking easy-to-carry accessory.
Rolly is powered by a single AAA battery which would last up to three months of usage. The keyboard pairs with smartphones and tablets via bluetooth 3.0; up to two different devices can be connected to it at the same time (simultaneously) and only supports tablets with up to 10-inches display.
The accessory has two sturdy arms to support smartphones and tablets in an upright position. The keyboard would be available at first in the US market by September. Other key markets in Europe, Latin America and Asia get the LG Rolly in the fourth quarter (Q4 2015). Pricing and availability details would be announced in local markets.
