LG UX 4.0 user interface to ship with the flagship LG G4

LG has already sent out press invites for an event on April 28th; the company is expected to announce it’s next flagship – the LG G4. The South Korean company has showed off its latest UI – the LG UX 4.0 which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The latest UI is expected to launch with the G4 and would be available for other LG smartphones in the future.

In a video demoed by the company, the LG UX 4.0 was shown off and to be honest has some semblance with the UX 3.0 but comes with improved functionality. One of such functionality is the Quick Shot feature which lets users take pictures by double clicking the volume button even when the phone is locked.

Another is the Expert Mode which can also be found on the camera which delivers DSLR-level professional quality for images. The Ring ID features allows user set different ring tones for different contacts and comes with a new calender app which allows user get events from facebook and other networking sites in a neat and organised manner.

There is also addition of other apps to the smart board widget. The list also includes features such as Knock Code, Q Slide, Q Notes, Gesture Shot and Smart Alerts. The LG G4 is confirmed to sports 5.5-inch Quad-HD display panel and would pack a 16MP rear camera with Laser Focus & Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
