LG has officially taken the wraps off the LG Volt TV (LG-H422TV) – the device features typical rear buttons and runs on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS. The device is said to be based on the LG Spirit, one of the four midrange smartphone LG showed off at the MWC 2015.
The talking point about the LG Volt TV is the inclusion of Digital TV (ISDB-T) which allows users enjoy terrestial broadcast services related to ISDB-T ones. The TV standard uses H.264/MPEG-4 AVC compression and provides 30 FPS streams, even on handsets.
The LG Volt TV (LG-H422TV) sports a 4.7-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD ICS LCD display, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3Gz alongside with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card which supports all the ones wey I no see chop. Other specs features includes – front 1.3MP snapper, 8MP front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n and a 2020mAh battery.
In terms of dimension the Volt TV from LG measures 133.3 x 66.1 x 9.9mm, supports 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4) and runs on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS. There is no word on the pricing but it is expected to break cover in Brazil in three colour options.
