Alongside the LG V40 ThinQ smartphone with triple rear cameras and dual front cameras, LG announced its first hybrid smartwatch – the LG Watch W7. It is developed in partnership with Soprod SA of Switzerland and the first from LG to run the new Wear OS by Google.
The LG Watch W7 is basically a regular analog timepiece with all the functionalities of a connected smartwatch. It has high-precision quartz movement and physical watch hands wrapped in stainless steel, and is compatible with all standard 22mm watch bands.
With Wear OS by Google on-board, the wearable can be customised with unique watch faces and complications. It lasts up to two days of battery on a single charge in full operation mode and an extra 3 – 4 days in analog-mode only. In mechanical watch-only mode, one single charge keeps it on for up to 100 days or more than three months.
Asides displaying the time, the Watch W7’s analog hands also has other information such as altimeter, barometer, compass directions, stopwatch and timer.
