LG has announced it would be releasing a flip phone (or clamshell if you like) in the international market called New LG Wine Smart (LG Wine Smart 2015). The new device is an international version of the LG Gentle announced last week exclusively for South Korea.
The LG Wine Smart 2015 takes its name from a similar flip phone released last year but the specs are the same as the Gentle with a similar form factor. The new device runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the box, has 3×4 numeric keypad and hotkeys for instant access to frequently used features such as address book, camera and phone dailer.
The device measures 16.6mm thick, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 3MP main camera, 1GB RAM and LTE connectivity. The device also has the LG Safety Care feature which can pre-set to send out real-time location and emergency alerts to preset contacts.

The LG Wine Smart 2015 will be released in some International markets later this month with mentioned targeted countries as France, Japan, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland and Spain. It is highly unlikely this device makes it to Africa not to talk of Africa but who knows what the lure of a 4G LTE enabled smartphone could bring.
LG did not give anything away on the pricing of the device, instead mentioning it would be announced locally as at time of local availability but it shouldn’t sell for more than $170 which is the same price tag for the LG Gentle.
