LG has collaborated with US Retail jewellery company, REEDS Jewellers to announce the LG Watch Urbane Luxe – a luxury limited edition smartwatch. The trademark filing for the name in South Korea was found back in June.
LG is touting the Watch Urbane Luxe as more jewellery than wearable and we can only agree with this. It is adorned with 23-karat gold which is said to be heavier than the 18-karat used in traditional watches and alligator leather strap which has been worked on by 50 experienced leather workers.
The watch is packaged in a exclusive piano-gloss lacquer box. Overall, the South Korean company is not saying anything about the specs but it should have the same specs as the LG Watch Urbane.
The round dial P-OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and Android Wear OS are all expected to be present. If there is any major changes we would know about it at the IFA 2015.
The LG Watch Urbane Luxe would be available at first in the US for a price tag of $1200 by October. It can be ordered from any REEDS Jewellery store or online from www.Reeds.com later this month. Only 500 editions of the watch would be available and each would have its number engraved on it.
