Meizu has a limited special editions of the Meizu MX5 flagship – the Meizu MX5 Evergrande Golden Edition and Meizu MX5 Commemorative Edition. The device is launched in partnership with China based football team – Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao F.C.
The Meizu MX5 Evergrande Golden Edition has the logo of the Chinese club etched into the back, comes in Champagne Gold colour option and the UI is customised with the Chinese club theme. It comes in a red limited edition package box, costs CNY 2699 and with a Guangzhou Evergrande FC jersey.
The Meizu MX5 Commemorative Edition is available in two models; both models come in a completely red limited edition package box. The models are devoid of the club’s logo but comes in 16GB and 32GB storage.
Either the Guangzhou Evergrande FC scarf or Meizu EP-21HD earphone is packed along. The 16GB version costs CNY 1999 and the 32GB costs CNY 2199.
The rest of the Meizu MX5 specs includes: 5.5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 64-bit Mediatek Helio x10 processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB RAM, 20.7MP main camera, 5MP front facing camera, 4G LTE and Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android Lollipop OS. It measures 149.9 x 74.7 x 7.6mm in dimensions and weighs 149 grams.
