Joining the likes of Motorola, Sony and of course Google, HTC has also unveiled the list of HTC mobile devices to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. The software update will begin to roll out officially before the end of 2015 and extends to 2016.
Both this year’s flagship HTC One M9 and its predecessor, the HTC One M8 will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update officially before the end of 2015 but could take differing times to reach the users when it gets to the hands of mobile carriers for approval.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow promises several improvements and exciting new features such as Now on Tap, Doze for extreme battery saving, Android Pay, Fingerprint support and more.

Still on the list, HTC has removed the then flagship – the HTC One M7 from the list but has added the lesser specced HTC Desire 816. The former could still get the update regardless not being on the list and several cases like this can be cited.
