Towards the end of last year; we saw so many Dual Boot OS tablets (running Android OS and Windows OS) from some OEMS in China. The trend has been carried forward to this year as we have been seeing more tablets running two different OS.
Livefan has thrown a new Dual Boot OS slate into the mix with the Livefan F3S-X; the tablet runs both Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS and Windows 8.1 OS. The Chinese company is more popular for releasing Windows OS slates.
Moving to the specs – the Livefan F3S-X sports a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution capacitive touchscreen display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The device is powered by a quad-core Intel Z3736F processor with 2GB of RAM and 64GB space of internal storage. The slate has Dual 2MP cameras (on the front and on the back) but there is no word on microSD card slot.
Connectivity options on the device includes – a full USB 2.0 port, a micro USB port for DC charging, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and a slot for Huawei 3G/4G dongle. Overall the device would be backed by a 8000mAh battery which is expected to give the device over 8 hours of constant usage.
The Livefan F3S-X is currently available for RMB 1,688 ($270) and can be purchased on TMALL in China with a detachable Keyboard case included.
