The ZTE Overture 2 is the successor to the ZTE Overture which was released around this time last year; both devices are exclusive to Cricket Wireless in the US. The entry-level device is currently one of the cheapest Android Lollipop OS devices selling in the US for just $49.99 on Contract and there is a chance to get it free after two months of service from Cricket thanks to a $50 mail-in rebate.
Moving to the specs, the ZTE Overture 2 sports a 4.5-inch (854 X 480 pixels) FWVGA display with Dragontrail Glass protection, powered by a quad-core processor (unknown maker but Qualcomm is tipped) clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
On the back, there is a 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing VGA (0.3MP) camera for selfies. Connectivity options on the device includes – micro USB, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and supports Cricket’s 4G LTE network. The ZTE Overture 2 measures 134.87 x 65.79 x 9.9mm in dimensions, has Dolby Digital Plus for quality sound experience, backed by a 2100mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
