Lollipop ready Panasonic Eluga L 4G launched in India for $200

Last month, the Panasonic Eluga L 4G was spotted on Benchmark listing even though the display was listed as 9.2-inches, we already knew we were expecting a smartphone. The device has gone official today and is expected to rival the likes of the YU Yureka, Xiaomi Mi Note 4G and Lenovo A7000.

The Panasonic Eluga L 4G sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display; and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass on the front and rear. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of expandable storage (up to 32GB via a microSD card).

Handling camera on the device is a 8MP Autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. The front camera comes with a feature called BLINK Play; it allows the device takes selfies with a three-second camera countdown once the user blinks in front of it.

 As it’s name suggests, the Panasonic Eluga L 4G comes with 4G LTE support (supports both India’s Band 40 and Band 3 LTE networks). Other connectivity options includes – GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It measures around 6.1mm around its waist, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS (upgradable to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS) but there is no word on the battery capacity. 

The Panasonic Eluga L 4G is priced around Rs 12,990 ($200) in Blue colour option only and comes with a free screen guard and protective case bundled along with it.
