Chinese device maker, LEAGOO has announced a new low-end smartphone – the LEAGOO Elite 8. The low-cost device packs entry-level specs and supports 4G LTE networks. It is expected to sell for a sub-$100 price tag and arrive in Black, Gold, Pink and White colours to choose from.
Moving to the specs, the LEAGOO Elite 8 sports a 3.97-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA IPS LCD display and a pixel density of 235ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at along with 512MB of RAM and 4GB built-in expandable storage space.
In the camera aspect, there is a rear facing 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a front facing 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video chats; both cameras use CMOS sensor for improved camera quality. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4)/3G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The LEAGOO Elite 8 has Dual SIM slots (with Dual Standby), a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB) and runs LEAGOO OS 1.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It measures 121.8 x 62.3 x 8.9 mm in dimensions, weighs in at 103.4 grams and backed by a 1800mAh battery.
