Low End 9.6-inch Samsung SM-T561 tablet surfaces on Benchmark website

For reasons best know to Samsung, the company decided not to bring any new tablets to the already concluded MWC 2015. This only means the company is preparing to launch its slates at a later date.

So far we have seen indications that the company has the Galaxy Tab A and Tab A Plus family as well as the Galaxy Tab S family readied to launch at some point. A new unheard of tablet from the company has surfaced on benchmark listing, GFXBench. The new slate carries the name – SM-T561 and comes sporting a 9.6-inch display.

The Samsung SM-T561 has very low end specs – the 9.6-inch display uses a HD (1280 x 800 pixels) resolution display with a pixel density of 157ppi. Under the hood, there is a 1.3Ghz Quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 processor with a dual core ARM Mali-400MP2 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. The tablet is listed not to pack any camera which possibly means it would be lowly priced.

The device would run Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS only and wouldn’t offer cellular connectivity. We expect more details to pop up as the device nears its launch date.
