Chinese device maker, Coolpad has launched a new smartphone called the Coolpad Roar Plus in Vietnam. The low-end device running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the company’s Cool UI 8.0 on top, will go on sale for a price tag of VND 2,299,000 (US$ 100) and will arrive in Black or White colour options.
Measuring 143 x 72 x 7.6 mm in dimensions and weighing in at 124 grams, the Coolpad Roar Plus sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with (1280 x 720 pixels) HD screen resolution and is backed by a 2000mAh Li-ion battery. It packs Dual SIM Nano slots and supports 4G LTE (Cat.4) connectivity.
Performance on the new device is handled by a Quad-core Mediatek MT6735P 64-bit processor clocked at 1.0GHz and paired with 400MHz dual-core Mali-T720 MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage associated with current devices in this level.
For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 32GB. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats while the main camera is a 8MP AutoFocus snapper with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture.
The Coolpad Roar Plus is compatible with 2G GSM, 3G WCDMA and 4G FDD-LTE networks in Europe and South East Asia. Other connectivity options include – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS/A-GPS.
