Low-end Oppo A33 debuts with qHD screen, 2GB RAM and Android Lollipop

With the Chinese variant (Oppo A33m) already available via China Telecom for CNY 1399 (USD 220), Oppo has officially announced the Oppo A33 which is more of the low-end side than mid-range. The 5-inch sized device had been spotted on TENAA back in October.

Having a metal body frame as well as glass front and back, the Oppo A33 sports a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD IPS LCD display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB. 

In the camera segment, there is a front facing 2-megapixels camera for selfies and video chats, a rear facing 8-megapixels camera with LED flash. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro USB v2.0 port.

The Dual SIM Oppo A33 runs ColorOS 2.1 OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2400mAh battery with promise of up to 250 hours of standby time, 8 hours of talk time. It measures 142.7 x 71.7 x 7.5 mm, weighs 146 grams and is available in Black and White colours.
