Coolpad is readying a new 4G LTE device – the Coolpad Y891 which has been certified by Chinese telecommunication agency, TENAA. The mid-range device which is unlikely to make it out of the home country will arrive in various colour options including Black, White and Yellow.
Measuring 154.6 x 77.0 x 8.6mm in dimensions and weighing in at 167.0 grams, the Coolpad Y891 sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz (likely the Mediatek MT6592 with ARM Mali GPU).
The Y891 packs 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable via a microSD card slot. In terms of photography, a front facing 5-megapixels camera will handle selfies while the main camera, a rear facing 13-megapixel sensor has LED flash and records 1080p FHD videos.
Below the main camera on the back, sits the fingerprint sensor which would provide a better layer of security. Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box, the Coolpad Y891 supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE Networks as well as Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB.
