Microsoft announced three Lumia devices – Lumia 730 Dual SIM, Lumia 735 Selfie smartphone and the Lumia 830 with 10MP pureview camera and Lumia Denim update. The Lumia 730 Dual SIM supports 3G and is a dual SIM (Micro-SIM) device; the Lumia 735 selfie smartphone is a single SIM (Micro-SIM) device and supports 4G LTE connectivity
Lumia 730 Dual SIM and Lumia 735
Both devices share some specifications together, the Lumia 730 Dual SIM and Lumia 735 measures a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with a pixel density of 316ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, is a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 128GB) and 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.
Both devices feature a 6.7MP primary camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera with 24mm wide angle lens. The Lumia 730 Dual SIM and Lumia 735 both run Windows Phone 8.1 out-of-the-box; the company would provide Lumia Denim updated during the Q4 2014. Both devices is powered by a 2220mAh battery; the battery is expected to provide up to 22 hours of 2G talk time and 17 hours of 3G talk time.
Both Lumia 730 Dual SIM and Lumia 735 would be available in – Bright Green, Bright Orange, Dark Grey and White colour options. Though the pricing details were not announced along with the device the Lumia 730 Dual SIM has been placed with a price tag of €219 and €199 for the Lumia 735. The devices start shipping in September.
Lumia 830
The Lumia 830 is touted to be the ‘thinnest and lightest’ Lumia smartphone as of yet; whilst also stressing it is he most affordable smartphone as of yet. The device features a 5-inch HD (720 x1280 pixels) ClearBlack IPS LCD display, 296ppi pixel density, powered by a quad- core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage (up to 128GB via microSD card) and 15GB of free cloud storage.
On the Camera front, the Lumia 830 excels a lot with its rear 10MP Pureview camera with Carl Zeiss Optics, LED flash and what it calls the thinnest OIS. The device also sports a front facing 1MP camera. The camera is enhanced with varieties of features but an expected Lumia Camera OTA would add more features to the camera including Rich Capture and Moment Capture.
Microsoft notes the Lumia 830 also includes the low-power motion sensing technology, dubbed SensorCore, for fitness fanatics. The new SensorCore feature can track movements and location even while the handset is ‘asleep’ when paired with apps like Bing Health and Fitness, and Adidas miCoach. Some other apps preloaded include Instagram, Vine, and Shazam.
The Lumia 830 runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim update and a 2200mAh battery powers the device. The device also supports Wireless charging. It comes pre-loaded with Cortana, Microsoft office, Live Folders and others.
The Lumia 830 would be available starting September; with a price tag of €330 in Green, Grey, Orange and White colour options.
