Y! Mobile (a subsidiary of Softbank Corporation) has announced a new Android smartphone simply known as LUMIERE. The device which is listed on the Huawei Japan website as the LUMIERE 530HW will be available in three colour options – Black, Gold and White.
LUMIERE (or Huawei LUMIERE 503HW) is based on the Huawei P8 Lite but will be sold without the company’s logo on the body. Only the White colour option will be on sale this month (October 24th) with the Black and Gold options following by November. All options should retail for a price equivalent to $320 (36,000 Japanese Yen).
Moving to the specs, the device sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD TFT LCD display, powered by an octa-core Hi-silicon Kirin 620 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. The device measures 71 x 143 x 7.7mm in dimensions, weighs 131 grams and has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
For photography, there is a rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The LUMIERE supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity options. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei’s EMUI ontop and is backed by a 2200mAh battery.
