Vertu and Bentley are names known to ooze premium, while Vertu is known for making premium smartphones and Bentley known for its premium exotic cars. Vertu had in the past worked with Ferrari to create branded handsets for the italian luxury brand.
The phones are going to be developed by Vertu and Bentley teams, users would also get exclusive contents from Bentley with an exclusive app available from the company.

Massimiliano Pogliani, CEO of Vertu, added, “Vertu is the embodiment of contemporary English luxury, combining the worlds of high technology and artisan craftsmanship. Combining pioneering design and luxury performance materials, the phones will offer a unique experience appealing to the desire of Bentley and Vertu customers for uncompromising performance standards allied with elegant and eye-catching design.”
Vertu and Bentley have signed a five-year deal, during which 5 Bentley themed phones would be released. The first among the Bentley themed created phones could be released by Q4 (last quarter) of 2014.
Vertu recently launched the Vertu Signature Touch with much improved hardware compared to other smartphones from the company. The Vertu Signature Touch features a 4.7-inch 1080P HD display protected by sapphire crystal, powered by a 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, a 2275mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. The Vertu. Signature touch has a whooping price tag of $11,000 (₦1.8 Million).
