Reliance Retail has announced a new smartphone in the LYF Water series, this time with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS on-board and the usual Voice over LTE (VoLTE) features touted . The Lyf Water 11 is now available in India for a price tag of Rs. 8199 (US$ 123) in Gold colour option only.
Sporting a 5-inch display, the Lyf Water 11 has a sleek body design with rounded metal frame and a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD). It is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6735A 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 450MHz dual-core Mali-T720 MP2 GPU.
The smartphone is packed with 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space, which is expandable up to 64GB via microSD. The rest of the specs includes – 13MP rear camera with LED flash, front 5MP camera, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG and a 2100mAh battery.
The Lyf Water 11 follows up the Lyf Water 10 released weeks ago with, anti-theft tracking, faux leather back cover and a price tag of Rs. 8999. It sports a similar 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz octa-core Mediatek Mediatek processor and boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The company also announced that Reliance Jio services will be available to the general public (in India) starting September 5. LYF series devices will arrive bundled with a Reliance Jio sim and Jio Welcome offer which includes unlimited data, calling, SMS and access to Reliance Jio services.
