One of the noticeable feature is the Split screening which is available on Windows 8 OS devices and onwards. Tapping on the green button of an open app, you will be able to split the window on one half of the screen using that app, while you can move other open windows to the other screen.

Apple’s Safari Web browser has improved by borrowing a leaf from Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox; it now supports pinned tabs and also allows you control the audio output from tabs. With pinned tabs, your favourite sites are easily accessed and links from pinned websites are opened in a new page.

Natural language improvements in Spotlight means the search feature would be able to interpret natural language speech on its desktop computer. Search in Spotlight can now give you weather reports, check unread emails from a specific person and more.

Metal programming language has been introduced to iOS; when combined with Open GL – it delivers improved performance for apps. Rendering has seen up to 8 times improvement and gaming experience on Mac OS X would be much more better.

General experience on the platform has improved, launching an app is now 1.4 times faster, opening PDF in preview is now four times faster and switching between apps is twice faster.

A developer version of the Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan would be available immediately, the public Beta would be available in July, the Final version is expected to arrive in the falls (around September) and the update would be free.
