Weeks ago, Google released a handful of new consumer hardware products at its Made by Google 2017 Event in San Francisco. The company which recently bought parts of HTC’s smartphone team for $1.1 billion, launched the Pixel 2/2 XL, Google Home Mini and Max, Pixelbook, Pixel Buds, Google Clips and new Daydream View.

The new Google Pixel 2 Smarphones, Google Home Mini and Max smart speakers, and PixelBook laptop (chromebook) have all been discussed in details. So the focus here will be on the Google Clips hands-free camera, Google Pixel Buds and updated Daydream View headset.
Google Pixel Buds
Google’s Pixel Buds for the Pixel 2 (and other compatible Android smartphones) is what Apple’s AirPods are to iPhones. The bluetooth wireless earbuds comes integrated with Google Assistant and translates between languages (up to 40 of them) in real time using Google Translate on Pixel phones.
With a simple tap on the right ear, the Buds can make phone calls, play music, answer questions, give directions, and do much more. It has the same premium two-tone fabric design found on Google Home products and can last up to 24 hours of listening time when placed in the charging case.
Google Pixel Buds will be available in November for $159 and will arrive in Charcoal, Coral and Fog colours.

In addition to the other Pixel and Home products, Google also released a new hands-free camera which uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to capture geniune, spontaneous moments. The lightweight camera has smart recognition features and shoots short motion photos (clips) that last several seconds.
It has a 130-degree field-of-view lens, 16GB built-in storage and up to three hours of continous usage. It also shoots photos at 15fps and clips are transfered wirelessly from the camera via the Google Clips app for Android or iOS. Google Clips is currently compatible with Pixel smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S7/S8 and iPhone 6 (and up). It is priced at $249 and will be available in the US.
