Indian Local smartphone maker Matt Mobile has launched a budget and pocket friendly smartphone – Maxx Mobile GenxDroid7 AX356 for those considering quitting features phones for smartphones.
The Dual-SIM (GSM+WCDMA) Maxx Mobile GenxDroid7 AX356 runs on the dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but the company has promised Android 4.4 Kitkat upgrade in the nearest future. Disappointly the OS won’t make it appeal more in the market as other local OEMs offering Android Kitkat OS phones at entry level price.

The Maxx Mobile GenxDroid7 AX356 features a 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480 pixel) resolution display, powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6572M processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card), free 8GB micro SD card bundled along.
On the rear is a 3.2MP camera with flash and a 0.3MP front facing camera onboard. Connectivity options on the Maxx Mobile GenxDroid7 AX356 includes – Bluetooth, 3G, A-GPS/GPS, Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE. The device is powered by a 1200mAh battery, which is expected to deliver about 4hours of talk-time and 100hours of standby time.
The device also comes pre-loaded with applications like the Maxx World, Maxx life Box, Maxx Care, Maxx New Launch, Getit, Hungama, Office Suite, Opera Mini, OLX, Flipkart, WeChat launcher, Google Applications.
The Maxx Mobile GenxDroid7 AX356 has been priced at Rs. 3,696 (around N10,000 in Naira) for the Indian market.
