Following the success of the Smartbook 14, Mediacom has announced a new thin, lightweight and colourful notebook aimed at the younger audience. The Mediacom Smartbook 11 will go on sale in Europe starting November 26th (today) for a price tag of EUR 169.90 in Blue, Gold, Grey and White.
Backed by a 5500mAh Lithium Polymer battery, the Mediacom Smartbook 11 sports a 10.6-inch (1366 x 738 pixels) Bright IPS LCD display and comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home OS. It measures 277 x 185.3 x 20.8 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 0.94kg (940 grams).
On the inside, the notebook relies on a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F clocked at 1.33GHz (up to 1.83GHz in turbo mode) paired along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space. For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
The rest of the specs includes 2 x USB 2.0 ports, front 0.3MP camera, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and HDMI Out. The Mediacom Smartbook 11 also comes with the chance to earn up to 6 months of free content (over 6000 titles) on its Video on Demand streaming platform – Infinity.
