This week, Mediacom announced entry of Mediacom Smartbook S140 into a new line of budget notebooks based on Intel processors as well as having a slim body profile and lightweight to handle. Targeted at students and professionals who are always on the go, it will be available in Italy by the first half of May for a price tag of EUR 219 (Tax inclusive).
For starters, the Mediacom Smartbook S140 sports a 14-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) FWXGA LCD TN display and is backed by a 10,000mAh Li-poly battery. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocked at 1.33GHz (up to 1.83GHz) with Intel HD graphics and 2GB of RAM.
Dressed in an elegant white hue, the notebook has 64GB built-in storage space, a microSD card slot to expand storage with an additional space (up to 32GB) and run Windows 10 Home OS. It is equipped with 2 x USB 2.0 ports, mini HDMI port, 3.5 mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and integrated speakers.
The Mediacom Smartbook S140 comes with a built-in Webcam (0.3-megapixels) accompanied with a microphone for making voice calls. It measures 350.5 x 236.6 x 20.5 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 1.545 kg.
