Mediacom has announced two new Android tablets with cellular connectivity – the Mediacom SmartPad 7.0 S2 4G and Mediacom SmartPad 10.1 S2 4G. Both Android 5.1 Lollipop OS running tablets will be available in second and third week of June for a price tag of EUR 109.90 and EUR 139.90.
The Mediacom SmartPad 7.0 S2 4G sports a 7-inch IPS LCD display with 1024 x 600 pixels screen res, measures 188 x 108 x 10.5 mm in dimensions, weighs 273 grams and is backed by a 2800mAh battery. Meanwhile the SmartPad 10.1 S2 4G has the same screen res but a bigger 10.1-inch display, measures 259 x 150 x 10.8 mm in dimensions, weighs 543 grams and is backed by a 5500mAh Li-po battery.
Both are powered by the same quad-core Mediatek MT6753M 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and packs Dual SIM slots. In the camera department there is a front facing 0.3-megapixels (VGA) and a rear facing 2-megapixel camera.
Connectivity options available include – 4G LTE, GPS, USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It is not known if the tablets can make voice calls but there is a built-in microphone as well as a speaker.
