Mediacom has released the Mediacom WinPad 10.1 X201, a Windows OS based and Intel powered hybrid with detachable keyboard which works as either a notebook or as a tablet. It is expected to hit the stores (offline and online) by November for a price of €259.90 (plus VAT and the Keyboard.
Getting into the details, the Mediacom WinPad 10.1 X201 has a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and is powered by an Intel Atom Z353F Quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage space.
The front and rear cameras are both 2MP snappers and for additional storage space, there is a microSD card that supports up to 64GB cards. The slate supports cellular connectivity (3G) thanks to the presence of a Single SIM slot and is backed by a 7000mAh battery which should be sufficient for some hours.
The Mediacom WinPad 10.1 X201 has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 1 x micro HDMI port and 1 x micro USB 2.0. The detachable keyboard comes with additional 2 x micro USB 2.0 ports. The whole tablet measures 246.1 x 172.8 x 9.2mm in dimension and weighs 600 grams (up to 1.1kg plus keyboard).
