Japanese company, Sharp has announced RoboHon a unique robot phone designed to look human. The device is developed by popular Tokyo professor and Roboticist, Tomotaka Takahashi. Talking about availability, it is expected to launch by first half of 2016 (H1 2016) but no word on pricing yet.
Moving to the details, RoboHon has a rear placed 2-inch (120 x 160 pixels) QVGA LCD touchscreen display, powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and has a built-in projector as well as camera on its face.
It is very portable and easy to carry about, has a height of around 19.5 cm and weighs around 390 grams. It supports 4G LTE, 3G and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity options. The robot mobile phone as Sharp calls it can perform the functions of a mobile phone such as voice calls, play music and games, search applications, send emails and take photos.
With the built-in projector, it can also be used for projecting presentations, photos and videos, maps and other on the wall and desks. RoBoHon also carry outs activities based on voice dialogue i.e it can be operated using voice functions as well as face recognition.
