At the just concluded IFA 2015, Asus announced the ASUS ROG GX700 – the world’s first water-cooled gaming laptop. The laptop from the Republic of Gamers (ROG) series joined the likes of the ROG G752 , ROG Maximus VIII Extreme/Assembly, ROG Matrix GTX 980Ti Platinum, ROG Swift PG348Q, ROG 7.1 surround gaming headset and ROG G20 Special Edition.
According to the Taiwanese company, the Asus ROG GX700 adds water-cooling technology to a gaming laptop for the very first time, and delivers stable, super-fast performance. It sports a 17-inch (3840 x 2160 pixels) 4K UHD IPS LCD display and has the new. ROG color scheme – Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper.
It is powered by an overclockable 6th Gen Intel K-series Skylake processors with the latest NVIDIA GPU on-board (could be the forthcoming Nvidia GTX 990M or the still recent GTX 980M). One of the highlight has to be the huge water cooling docking station which is in charge of liquid cooling both the processor and the GPU of the laptop.
Asus is not forthcoming in terms of all the full specs, pricing and availability but the laptop is not for just any John Doe rather it is for gamers and those who know the essence. There are rumours of a late 2015 debut for the Asus ROG GX700 but nothing is confirmed yet.
