Kingsing W8
Windows tablets manufacturers are turning the heat up on their Android counterparts with very affordable tablets at a meagre sum of $100 (₦16000 / €75). With Microsoft removing the initial asking license fee for less than 9-inch devices, this sees more OEMs are jumping on the Windows OS train. Earlier this year, the Emdoor EM-i8080, Emdoor Miso, Toshiba Encore 7, 8 Inch and 10 Inch Toshiba Encore 2 tablets all running on Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 OS. Following in their footstep, Chinese OEM Kingsing has announced a 8-inch Windows OS based tablet running on Intel Baytrail T processor.
The Kingsing W8 features a ( pixels) IPS LCD display, powered by a Quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T processor clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with Intel HD graphics, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage (expandable via SDXC cards), 2MP front and rear camera, Stereo Speakers.
The Kingsing W8 measures 207.5 x 122.6 x 10mm, runs on Windows 8.1 OS as earlier announced and a 4500mAh battery powers the device. Connectivity options include support for 3G modem (GSM, CDMA and Chinese TD-SCDMA), Micro HDMI port, micro USB port, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
