Microsoft has just released a new selfie app and trust me, it is not for Windows Mobile devices. The Microsoft Selfie as the app is rightly known is one for the selfie lovers and is already available on the App store for download free. It is compatible with all iOS devices (i.e iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) running iOS 8 and later.
According to the description on the store, the app considers variables like age, gender, skin tone and others into account whilst using the Redmond giant’s intelligent processing algorithm to edit pictures with just a single click. There is also a compare button to see the before and after.
Microsoft Selfie is a selfie and portrait enhancement application. The app takes age, gender, skin tone, lighting, and many other variables into account, applies different models automatically and finishes enhancement with just a single click. Users can transform average photos into more presentable portraits in seconds. Key features of this application are noise reduction, intelligent enhancement, automatic exposure and color theme.
In conclusion, the Microsoft Selfie app for iOS is basically a camera app and photo editing tool which help you do what the name points to – take the perfect selfie. It is not the lightest of app with about 56.8MB in size but it is good at what it does.
To be factual, this app is unlikely to be uses instead of the built-in Photo apps by Apple on iOS which are equipped with their editing tools but an Android version could more appreciated.
