Meet the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, the first smartphone with 4K UHD display

Sony has announced the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium – a premium version of the flagship Xperia Z5 smartphone and also the first smartphone with a 4K display. It would be available in Black, Chrome and Gold colour options starting November 2016.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a eye popping pixel density of 808ppi thanks to the (3840 x 2160 pixels) Ultra HD (UHD or 4K) display; a UHD is equivalent to 4 times a Full HD One. It is backed by a 3430mAh battery with Battery Stamina mode and provides around two days of usage according to Sony. 

Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor paired with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. There is a micro SD card slot for additional storage (up to 200GB) and it has its fingerprint sensor located in the side power/lock button.

Measuring 154.4 x 75.8 x 7.8mm in dimensions and weighing 18 grams, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is available in Single and Dual SIM (Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual) variants and supports NFC, 4G LTE, DLNA, MHL 3.0, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity options.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a front facing 5MP camera with Exmor R™ for mobile image sensor, 25 mm wide-angle lens and rear facing 23MP camera with Exmor RS™ for mobile image sensor, fast autofocus (0.03 second) and 24 mm wide-angle G Lens. 

It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, has a Capless USB port and IP65/IP68 certification for Dust proof and water proof.
