Meitu (not to be confused with Meizu) has a new smartphone in the works; the company is popular for its photo editing tool and has also released some smartphones in the past. The Meitu M4 has has been certified on TENAA for China and is expected to make its debut soon.

Moving to the specs – the Meitu M4 sports a 4.7-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD resolution display, powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB space of internal storage. There is no microSD card slot on board.
The M4 has front and back 13MP snapper which could see the device marketed as a high profile selfie phone. Connectivity wise we also have GPS, Bluetooth, Infrared, WLAN, Micro USB, Edge and GPRS. It supports GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, FDD-LTE and TD-LTE networks.
The Meitu M4 runs on a skinned version of Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS (MeiOS), weighs 150 grams, measures 147.8 x 66.2 x 8.99mm in dimensions and colour options expected are Pink, Mint Green and Black.
There is no word on pricing yet, but the device would sure be available in China but availability in other regions should be expected with serious doubts.
