Fresh off announcing a strategic partnership with Xiaomi, Chinese company, Meitu has unveiled a new camera-centric flagship – the Meitu V7. It is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform and comes in 128GB (standard version) / 256GB / 512GB built-in storage options.
The Meitu V7 is equipped a total of five cameras – three at the front and two at the back. The front triple setup includes a 12MP sensor for night shots, 20MP ultra sharp sensor and 8MP sensor for portrait shots, coupled with AI dark face capture and beauty modes.
The rear dual camera setup includes 12MP + 8MP sensors each with tone LED flash, slow motion video shooting, AI scene recognition and both OIS and EIS. The V7 has a notched 6.21-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, rear leather back, 18K gold plated rivets at the bottom, fingerprint sensor (home button), and non-removable 3,400mAh battery.
The V7 has a special Tonino Lamborghini edition which is covered in Calf leather. This edition sports Lamborghini logo, tri-colour stitching to resemble the Italian flag, V-shaped studs and carbon fiber finish under the camera module.
The standard Meitu V7 will arrive for CNY 4,799 (USD 696) while the Meitu V7 Tonino Lamborghini Edition is priced at CNY 8,888 (USD 1,288) for the 256GB storage version and CNY 10,888 (USD 1,577) for the 512GB storage version. Pre-sales begin next week (December 24) and shipping will start January 9.
