The Meizu 16s Pro, the improved version of the Meizu 16s has been listed up for sale in China. The device is available starting at CNY 2,699 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model, CNY 2,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and CNY 3,299 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It is currently open for pre-orders and will go on sale from August 31 in Black, Green, Gradient White and White colour options.
The smartphone packs a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with ultra-narrow bottom bezel, in-display fingerprint sensor (0.15s unlock time – 25% faster than the Meizu 16s), face unlock (0.2s unlock time), 2nd-gen stereo speakers and 3,600mAh battery with 24W mCharge fast charging support. It comes inbuilt with mEngine 3.0 for multitude of features including 4D gaming experience.
Internally, the Meizu 16s Pro relies on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ 7nm octa-core processor and boots Flyme OS 8 with One Mind 3.5 AI and Game Mode 4.0. For photography, there is a primary 48MP (f/1.7, OIS, PDAF) rear camera with 1/2.25″ Sony IMX586 sensor paired with a 20MP (f/2.6) telephoto camera and 16MP (f/2.2) camera with 117° ultra-wide-angle lens surrounded by a ring LED flash. The top-front narrow bezel houses the 20MP selfie camera with AI beauty features.
The device has a USB Type-C port, but the company is selling a new Hi-Fi Auto Pro Type-C to 3.5mm converter for CNY 269 and Meizu EP3C Type-C Headphones for CNY 129. The headphones are available for CNY 99 when bought with the Meizu 16s Pro.
