The Meizu 16Xs is the newest addition to Meizu’s 16 series mid-range smartphone line. The device comes equipped with a triple camera setup which includes a primary 48MP (f/1.7) rear snapper with Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, 0.8um pixel size, PDAF and ring LED flash paired with 8MP (f/2.2) snapper with 118.8-degree ultra-wide angle lens and 5MP (f/1.9) snapper for depth sensing.
On the front is the 16MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper with AI beauty features and 0.2s face unlock. Internally, the phone is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform paired with 6GB of RAM and the option of either 64GB or 128GB built-in storage. The 16Xs runs Flyme OS 7.3 (based Android 9.0 Pie) with One Mind 3.0 AI and depends on a 4000mAh battery with 18W mCharge fast charging.
The Meizu 16Xs sports a 6.2-inch Full HD+ 18.6:9 Super AMOLED On-Cell display with 90.29% screen-to-body ratio and ultra-narrow bezel, Super mTouch under-display fingerprint scanner (0.2s unlock time), plexiglass back, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 5. The company also unveiled the Meizu EP2C Type-C headset with built-in DAC and USB Type-C port.
The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage version cost CNY 1,698 while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version is priced at CNY 1,998. Both versions will go on sale from June 10 and arrives in Blue, Coral Orange, Midnight Black and Silk White colours. The Meizu EP2C Type-C headset is priced standalone at CNY 129 but cost CNY 99 when bundled with the Meizu 16Xs.
