The first smartphone expected from Meizu in India is the M1 Note which launched in China as the Blue Charm Note. The device would slot into the lower midrange category and expected to cost around INR 7000 (~ $110). Unsurprisingly the Meizu M1 Note would compete with the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Lenovo A6000 in the same segment.
The Meizu M1 Note (Meizu Blue Charm Note) sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Sharp IGZO display (403ppi), powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor with 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB space of internal storage. Other specs features includes – 5MP front camera with 69-degress wide viewing angle, main 13MP camera, 4G LTE, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with Flyme OS 4 on-top and 3140mAh battery.
There is no word on how Meizu wants to sell its devices in India; the company might partner with an e-commerce platform like Xiaomi did with flipkart. The Meizu M1 Note is expected to launch in the country by April and the company is expected to bring the Meizu MX4 Pro at a later date.
We just have to keep tabs on both the Meizu India Social Media accounts to know how the phone will go on sale.
