Meizu has launched a customised ‘Star Trek’ edition of the Meizu M3E in time for the launch of the new movie franchise – the Star Trek 3, in China. The Meizu M3E Star Trek Limited Edition has the Starfleet Academy logo and the Star Trek brand name can also be found on the bottom of the back cover.
The Meizu M3E Star Trek Edition has the same specs as the OG model and of course, with additional perks and design details. Starting from retail box which is branded and a Start Trek badge packed inside, software features such as themes, custom launcher and wallpapers, are also onboard.
The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD 2.5 display, powered by an octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage and backed by a 3100mAh battery. The 13MP/5MP cameras on the front and rear handle photography, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS is installed.
The Meizu M3E Star Trek Edition is currently available in China for the equivalent of $225 and can be purchased directly from the company’s online store (Meizu Mall). For users living outside China, it is possible to order from third-party retailers however only limited units (5000 of them) are on sale.
