The Meizu MX4 Pro was one of the smartphone in the news due to the fact that it leaked multiple times before it went official. And when it finally went official, it came with an attractive body build, scored high on benchmark listing and came with flagship specs.
According to reports today, Meizu has discontinued the MX4 Pro smartphone; the company would still continue to support the device with updates; and it is looking likely that it would be the last smartphone from the company using Samsung Exynos chipset.
Meizu and MediaTek has started a romance which many has linked to the discontinuation of the MX4 Pro. Meizu had always relied on Samsung Exynos Chipset till it started using MediaTek SoC for its recent devices. Of recent, the chipset maker has announced it would be investing in MediaTek which says so much.
Meizu is gearing up for the release of the Meizu MX5 smartphone and it is certain that we would be seeing nothing less than a MediaTek SoC. All points to this and the device is expected to be released within the next two months.
