The only thing remaining for the Meizu MX5 phablet is an official announcement. The device has been subjected to different leaks and is expected to go official on the 30th of June.
According to the GFXBench benchmark listing, the Meizu MX5 phablet features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor clocked at 2.1GHz (MediaTek Helio x10) with Imagination Technologies PowerVR Rogue G6200 GPU for graphics.
Handling tasks on the device is 3GB of RAM and there is 16GB space of internal storage. The rear camera is a 20MP snapper with LED flash and there is a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The device boots Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS on the onset.
Some of the specs known not available on the listing are – the device is backed by a 3150mAh battery, it has a metal body build and is expected to have expandable storage up to 128GB. The Meizu MX5 Phablet is expected to have an Oval button which is expected to incorporate the fingerprint scanner and the device would be priced aggressively at a price equivalent to around $290.
There are also talks of the Meizu MX5 Pro smartphone, while we have not seen any benchmark listing, TENAA certification or leaked images; the device is expected to feature a 6-inch 2K display, powered by a Samsung Exynos 7420 processor with 4GB of RAM, Android Lollipop OS and a 4000mAh battery.
