Metal-Clad BLU Energy X LTE goes official 4000mAh Battery

US Based, BLU has debuted a new 4G‎ smartphone under the company’s battery-centric Energy series. Dubbed the BLU Energy X LTE, the 5-inch sized device succeeds the Energy X released in 2015 and is available exclusively in the US from Amazon for a price tag of US$ 129 off-contract. Gold and Midnight Black are the available colour options.

Dressed in a full metallic uni-body build, the BLU Energy X LTE sports a 5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution, measures 143 x 69.9 x 8.5 mm in dimensions, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a non-removable 4000mAh Li-Po battery.

Under the hood, the device relies on a quad-core Mediatek Cortex-A53 processor ‎clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 1GB of RAM‎ and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable via a microSD card slot (up to 64GB).

One of the improvements over its predecessor is the presence of LTE connectivity. Other options includes – Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro USB 2.0 port.‎ In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera for selfies and a rear facing 8-megapixel AutoFocus camera with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash.
