Huawei has listed two new smartphones – the Huawei GR3 and Huawei GR5 smartphones on its official website. Both devices have premium looking aluminium-alloy metal unibody design, run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and support global LTE. There is no word on pricing and availability but the former and latter will come in Gold, Silver and Grey colours.
Huawei GR3
Of the duo, the Huawei GR3 falls in the lower mid-range category with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, 1.5GHz octa-core MT6753T 64-bit processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in expandable storage space, front facing 5MP Fixed Focus camera and rear facing 13MP AutoFocus camera.
The GR3 supports 2G, 3G and 4G networks and also GPS/AGPS/GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and WI-FI 802.11 b/g/n connectivity options. It measures 143.5 x 71.0 x 7.6 mm in dimensions, weighs 135 grams, boot Android 5.1 Lollipop OS (with Emotion UI 3.1 Lite ontop) and backed by a non-removable 2200mAh Lithium Polymer battery.
Huawei GR5
Being the higher of the duo, the Huawei GR5 has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (MSM8939) processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in expandable storage space, Hybrid Dual SIM slot, Fingerprint sensor and backed by a 3000mAh battery.
The GR5 has the same camera setup and connectivity options as the GR3; it measures 151.3 x 76.3 x 8.15 mm in dimensions, weighs 158 grams and run Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Emotion UI 3.1 ontop.
Huawei and its Metal-ish. Am certain there’ll be no availablity for this phone in Nigeria just as MediaPad M2 10.0 in January. This company needs wake up to wholly serve the world and not 60% China 40% world.
At the moment, both are not.
