About a week ago, LG announced the LG Class – a 5″ mid-ranger running Android Lollipop OS. An unboxing video of the device has surfaced showing the highlight of the device which obviously is the all metal body the device rocks. This is a first from LG considering the South Korean company’s love for plastic and recently leather.
The LG Class doesn’t wow in terms of specs but it has a slim metal body build and 2.5D Glass ontop with slight curves (on the edges). A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor does the magic under the hood with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage space.
For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 2TB (Terabytes). The device also boasts of using the same camera used on the flagship LG G4 – a front 8MP FixedFocus camera for selfies and a rear facing 13MP AutoFocus camera. In terms of connectivity, the Class offers Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, DLNA, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n and 4G LTE.
Measuring 142 x 71.8 x 7.4 mm in dimensions and with a weight of 147 grams, due to nature of the phyique, the LG Class a non-removable 2050mAh battery which should last some hours of usage. It also has the signature 1W speaker on the back for a very good listening experience.
The LG Class unboxing video is available courtesy of UNDERkg and the device is already on sale by several carriers in South Korea for 399,300 Won ($340) unlocked. The device is available in Blue Black, Silver and Gold colour options.
