Luxury fashion brand, Michael Kors has joined the list of traditional watch makers, making their foray into the growing smartwatch industry. The Michael Kors Access smartwatch is available in two models:- the ‘Dylan’ is sporty and is targeted at men while the ‘Bradshaw’ with all-metal build for women.
Designed to have the same look as the traditional Michael Kors watches; the new Access smartwatches run Google’s Android Wear OS and the faces are customisable to suit the taste of the users, as there are exclusive Michael Kors watch faces, and interchangeable leather and silicon straps.
The Michael Kors Access has a colourful 1.5-inch (320 x 290 pixels) TFT LCD transrefective touchscreen display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage space, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1 LE. Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 2100 processor and a 360mAh – 400mAh battery can be found.
The Access smartwatches are already available in Canada, UK, US and 15 other countries. Pricing starts at $350 for the basic model (metal/silicone) and goes up to $395 for the exclusive gold-tone version. Bands begin at $40 and rises up to $50 for the embossed verssions. The company is also selling Access Activity Trackers which starts at $95.
