Around the same time as the Canvas Infinity Pro, Micromax launched a new Bharat smartphone with a large capacity battery, called the Micromax Bharat 5. The entry-level device is backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery, which according to the company, can last up to 2 days of usage and 500 hours of standby time.
The Bharat 5 has the same design as other Bharat smartphones and runs Android Nougat OS. It sports a 5.2-inch HD display, 1GB of RAM, front and rear facing 5MP cameras. Micromax is also expected to release the Bharat 5 Plus and Bharat 5 Pro in coming months.

The Micromax Bharat 5 is now on sale across major offline retail stores in India. It is priced at Rs. 5,555 (US$ 86) and those who buy it will get up to 50GB data from Vodafone.
