Leaked images of the next high end smartphone from Indian based device maker, Micromax has surfaced online with the company working on extending its line of Canvas Series dubbed to be the Micromax Canvas Gold (A300).
The Micromax Canvas Gold A300 will feature a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) and powered by a octa-core processor of unknown make (most likely the MediaTek unit that powers the Canvas Knight) clocked at 2.0GHz with supported from 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
There will be a 16-Megapixels rear shooter and a 8-Megapixels front facing camera for video chats. It should run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
There is no official announcement of the Micromax Canvas Gold (A300) but price has been tipped between Rs. 20,999 ($352 / ₦57,000) and Rs. 24,000 ($402 / ₦66,000) in Black Gold and White Gold colour variants.
Micromax has however has sent out invites to an event on June 16th titled “Witness our new Canvas”. It is looking very likely that the Micromax Canvas Gold (A300) and the rumoured Windows 8.1 smartphone from the company would be launched at this upcoming event.
