Micromax has announced a new android smartphonein its Canvas Knight Series with the Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290.

The Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 features a 4.7-inch (1280×720 pixels) resolution HD IPS Display, powered by a 1.4 GHz TRU octa core MT6492M Processor, 1 GB RAM, 8GB of expandable internal storage (up to 32GB via MicroSD Card support). There is a 8MP AutoFocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP fixed focus front camera. The camera also comes with a selfie mode which allows users take selfies with the touch of a button.

The Micromax Canvas Knight Cameo A290 is a dual-SIM (GSM+WCDMA) device with dual standby support. Connectivity options on the device includes – 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth and Micro-USB. The device runs on the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box and powered by a 2,000 mAh battery; the battery is touted to provide 7 hours of talktime and 180 hrs of standby time.
