Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G debuts with 2GB RAM, Android 5.0.2 and Octa-core SoC

The Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G is the latest smartphone in the Canvas series of device by Micromax; the 5-inch sized midrange smartphone has a price tag of Rs 10,999 ($166) and is already selling online for the aforementioned price. Black is the only available colour option. 

Moving to the specs, the Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB and it supports Dual SIM slots. 

It sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) which has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and Oleophobic coating against sticky fingers. On the back, there is a 13 Megapixels Autofocus camera with Dual LED flash and a front facing 5 Megapixels fixed focus camera for selfies. 

Connectivity options on the Micromax Canvas Nitro 4G includes – 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and microUSB. The device runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS from the onset and is backed by a 2500mAh battery which is tipped to provide a full day (or almost a full day) of usage.
